In April 2015 Imogen was given a commission to research cob and natural building techniques in order to deliver a talk and technical demonstration on the subject as a visiting lecturer for Cardiff Metropolitan University. The lecture was incredibly interactive with fun role play activities, tongue twisters and constant queues for audience participation. For the technical demonstration Imogen led the students in the making of a Cob oven.
In March 2016 Imogen was asked to return to the university to assist the students in making practical decisions regarding sculpture/design proposals. As part of the module the students were given the opportunity to experiment with ‘stomping the cob’ and shown some fundamental willow weaving techniques.
